The Amazon Kindle: A Whole Library of Photocopied Books

Okay, awwwww…. awwwww….

I came across a news article that kinda broke my heart (but not really), and it was about that Amazon Kindle iPod-for-books thing that came out. Supposedly, this would “change the way we buy and read books”, as your awesome library of shelves and shelves of encyclopedias becomes reduced to one friggin’ white tablet! Amazement! Amazing! But not really…

Soon, we'll re-Kindle the sacred art of book-burning for this

Soon, we'll re-Kindle the sacred art of book-burning for this (Haha, he made a funny)

I find it really amazing that, much like mp3 players and iPods, upon releasing such a product, manufacturers didn’t expect to find “pirated” copies of books being uploaded into their system? Did they not prepare themselves for the apocalypse that is “the year 2000! (OH MY GOD!)”?!? What these advanced-warfare-and-technological-advancements companies like Amazon should know by now is that since the beginning of time (and I mean the internet), humans have sought for ways to get things, including money, for free. So it’s only natural that in a world of P2P sharing (that’s peer2peer, my dear technologically-challenged friend) and pirated games/cds/dvds, bootleg books and files, let alone information (*AHEM*Wikipedia*AHEM*), can propagate in our cybertronic utopia.

So, of course, Amazon does what any company would have done: hack into each and every friggin’ one of them Kindles with George Orwell books, extracting and crushing them files, then giving refunds to all the owners, all through the wonderful world wide web (yes, that’s 4 w’s). What this implies, of course, is that if drastically needed, ANYONE can tap into ANYTHING to extract, destroy, or refund, as long as it’s all accessible online.

The pink Amazon-monster lounging around while doing it's job. Sucking.

What the frick. Super villains out there, here’s your cue. (*AHEM*FACEBOOK*AHEM*)
